Lancer’s history

Lancer is a small community in southwestern Saskatchewan, within the Rural Municipality of Miry Creek No. 229. It became an incorporated village on September 11, 1913, and kept that status for just under a century and a decade.

On August 1, 2022, Lancer restructured. It gave up its village status and became a special service area under the authority of the RM of Miry Creek No. 229, which is how it is governed today.
